Eric - Community Narrative

Hi Everyone.

I plan on writing my narritive on Boy Scouts. I have all the introduction materials like where my Boy Scout Troop is located, amount of people, and number of patrols, etc. I already have a tipping group of people, but I was wondering if anyone has any more ideas on tipping ideas/events?

I already have summer camps, troop meetings, court of honors, and merit badges. Could you please post any comments or ideas that you might have?

Thanks in advance, Eric

  1. This sounds like a great topic, Eric. You sound like you have a lot of substantial personal experience to draw upon, and I'm sure there is plenty of internal literature produced by the Boy Scouts that you can reference to describe what kind of community standards are in place.

You have the opportunity here of either exploring the national Boy Scouts of America community, or focusing on your particular troop. I think either could be effective, but you will probably have the most to say about the particular troop.

Have you thought about a specific personal memory or event to focus on for your personal account? I think you could begin with almost anything including one of your first camping trips or a more recent influential troop meeting. When choosing, think about both what information you want to share, and what tone you want to set.

  2. I think this would be a great topic to write about. I was never apart of boy scouts but I am guessing everyone is really close. If I was you I would focus on your specific troop.
