What does it mean to be educated? I think that being educated means that a person achieves a certain level of schooling before going into his or her career. I do not think they should have to go into college if their career does not require a college education but they should at least have a high school diploma. I think that the career that he or she enters is what can determine wether they are educated or not. If they are not well educated then they will not be able to fulfill the requirements in that career therefore showing that either he or she is not educated enough to be within that career.
Like you said education depends greatly on what you want to pursue as a career. Obviously some careers require more or less education, and just because you do not pursue a career that requires an education does not mean that you are any less vital to the work force. Some of the most important jobs out there are jobs that many of us think are below us, some of the hardest workers are the people who do not necessarily have an education (or what we define as an education).
